It’s Been A While

Today I would describe as the perfect day. And of course that would mean I had coffee 🙂

I went to a place that I have driven by hundreds of times in Silver Lake, near the place I go grocery shopping. I also told myself I needed to go there and today, as circumstances laid out, it was the place of choice. It’s called, surprisingly enough- “Silver Lake Coffee.” It’s right on Glendale Blvd, past the 2 Freeway, on your way to Griffith Park. It’s a small little place, with quite a selection of not just coffee, but sandwiches and breakfast items. The coffee was pretty decent. I had a iced double shot vanilla latte.

The place had quite a bit of seating, more tables and chairs than couches, but the did have two. Both of the couches were occupied so I chose a table. I brought my Bible and journal and began to write as I listened to the old 80s-90s rock music they had playing. Quite a few people were working on their laptops or studying for a class. Made me wish I had some text books to bring with me to study. Outside, there was also plenty of seating with umbrellas. They had two levels of seating outside, both of which seemed quite inviting. One of the best features is that they have a free, private parking lot (you know you’ve lived in the city too long when one of the best features of anywhere you go has free parking!) It’s a safer part of LA and I throughly enjoyed my time in Silver Lake. I will most go back.
